BlackBerry brings Android 6.0 for Priv

BlackBerry delivers its Priv smartphone now with Android 6.0. The company says that all existing users can update soon, though not exactly clear when you see a ota update.

BlackBerry PRIV Just two weeks ago began BlackBerry to send out the Android 6.0 firmware for testers. At the time, it was announced that the update in “spring” should be available to all users. Now let BlackBerry in a press release to know that the Priv sold starting Tuesday with Android Marshmallow. This relates to devices sold through the US store.

When Priv smartphones in the UK come with Android 6.0, or when the update here is available for existing users is not yet clear. According to the press release, the update should soon follow.

In addition to the enhancements to the operating system itself Android Marshmallow for Priv includes an improved version of the DTEK app, which should give users more control over their privacy and to protect against malware and hacks.

The Priv is the first Android smartphone from BlackBerry. The manufacturer said this year to come up with two cheaper Android devices. New models with its own operating system BlackBerry 10 not stand for this year’s schedule.
