BlackBerry Key2 smartphone is out in the Netherlands

The BlackBerry Key2 smartphone has been released in the Netherlands for a price of 649 euros. The manufacturer has reported this. The Key2 came out in some countries last month. The Key2 must follow the KeyOne, which ended up in shops last summer.

TCL sells the Key2 in the Netherlands at webshop BelSimpel. The smartphone is the latest model from the Chinese manufacturer with a physical qwerty keyboard. The KeyOne of last year remained the only model with a physical keyboard on the market for high-end telephones, because all other manufacturers no longer see salvation in making such smartphones.

The Key2 runs the Android edition of the Canadian BlackBerry, which has also given its name to TCL. BlackBerry previously made smartphones, but the manufacturer from Waterloo stopped in 2016.

The physical keyboard has 4 rows and a total of 35 keys that are flattened to better distinguish them from each other. The Key2 runs according to the message on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660-soc, assisted by 6GB RAM. The storage quantity depends on the variant and is 64 or 128 GB. The device has a USB port and a 3.5 mm jack. The screen is a 4.5 “LCD with an aspect ratio of 3: 2 and a resolution of 1680×1020 pixels. The screen surface is 92.4cm², which is about the same size as a 6: 6 inch screen, a size and ratio that many current smartphones have.
