BlackBerry PlayBook tablet will not get an upgrade to BB10

I do not know how many of our readers PlayBlook of tablet owners of BlackBerry , but we have bad news for you – CEO Thorsten Heins has officially announced that the new operating system BlackBerry 10 will not appear on the device. And this despite the fact that back in 2012, the company reported that the new Operating System is sure to appear on this tablet.

The reason for this decision was the low popularity of the device and, as a consequence, the low for the first fiscal quarter of 2014. Over the past three months (June 1), the company was able to sell only 100,000 tablet PlayBook, with the overall index of BlackBerry devices sold in 6.8 million gadgets.

Another reason not to upgrade to a brand new BlackBerry PlayBook 10 was the inability to provide the level of quality of experience that could offer new BB10 as part of the tablet. No additional information on the fate of their tablet Thorsten has not been announced, but the portal Engadget believes that in this way the company is clearly hinting that the life cycle of the device is getting closer to its end.

In other words, the company is again focusing only on their smart phones and all their efforts will be put into this area.
