The Pakistani government has decided that BlackBerry does not have to stop with its BES services in the country. Therefore, the manufacturer remains active in Pakistan. BlackBerry maintains that the Pakistani government can not access the BES servers.

Blackberry BlackBerry indicates looking at them to remain active for years in the Pakistani market and to introduce new products and services in the country. “We are grateful that the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and the Pakistani government have accepted our position that we can not provide content from BES traffic coverage for our customers and also give access to BES servers,” the company said in a statement.

This puts an end to a month long dispute between the Canadian company and the Pakistani government. Pakistan wanted full access to traffic that runs through the Blackberry Enterprise Service, including e-mails and BBM messages. BlackBerry refused after the Pakistani government gave the company until the end of November to stop BES. That deadline was extended until the end of December and stop command is thus of the table.
