BlackBerry has taken over $ 425 million for Good Technology. Good Technology is a major provider of secure enterprise mobile device management services and applications and was thus a competitor to BlackBerry.

BlackBerry pays the purchase amount of $ 425 million, representing 382 million in cash. The Canadian company says it wants to expand its own portfolio and strengthen the secure mobile platform from Good Technology.

Good Technology has a particularly strong position in terms of multi-OS management, such as iOS, Windows and Android. “In addition, Good has an ecosystem of more than two thousand independent softwareleverancies and applications developed for customers,” said Blackberry.

BlackBerry has been working to focus more on the management and security of mobile applications and less on hardware such as smartphones. In addition, the group will focus on cloud services and internet-of-things applications.
