Blizzard is considering alternative for classic WoW servers

Blizzard claims to have investigated the possibilities of classic World of Warcraft servers, but has come to the conclusion that this is difficult. However, the company is considering a stripped ‘pristine realm. Blizzard recently made the Nostalrius servers offline.

Blizzard has a comprehensive response posted on the downing of those popular servers, which ran fans to keep the original version of World of Warcraft playable. According to Blizzard are ‘classic servers’ been a recurring topic, which is also strongly lives by the employees of the studio.

“Why not let Nostalrius untouched? The honest answer is that it does not protect intellectual property harms the rights of Blizzard,” the company writes. To get back the nostalgia of the first World of Warcraft, the company expects a “pristine realm.
