Blu-ray Disc Association announced completion of ultra-HD Blu-ray specification
The Blu-ray Disc Association has announced that the standard for ultra-high definition Blu-ray discs has been completed. This summer gives it first licenses; end of this year would have to be players and discs for sale. The organization also shows the logo that will be placed on ultra-HD Blu-ray’s.
