BMW will start January at the CES trade show in Las Vegas i3 display self parking can search. Through a smart watch the driver to the car with the task to find an autonomous parking or just drive to the exit.
The electrically powered BMW i3 is equipped with four laser scanners to identify obstacles. Together with details of the relevant location, such as a garage, the car is according to the German carmaker able to independently search for a parking space. A GPS signal is not required for remote valet parking assistant.

The parking mode of the i3 is activated using a voice command on a smart watch. This allows the driver to turn on the parking after driving into a parking garage and walk away and the car independently to find a free spot would know. Once the vehicle is parked activate the door locks and waiting for a new assignment. If the i3-owner wants to leave again, he can give the vehicle again using his smart watch command to drive for the exit. In addition, the remote valet parking assistant can estimate when the driver presumably arrives, so to start on time on his ride to the exit.
It is still unclear when the automated parking system will be available in new i3 models. In 2013 demonstrated Audi still self parked cars.Viewing:-191
