Briton iPhone taught sort M & M’s in color




Blogger Reviewmylife assembled machine sorted using iPhone multi-colored candy-coated tablets – for example, M & M’s or Skittles, – in color. It is reported by Daily Mail. The design of the machine is described in detail on the website of the developer.


Machine consists of a receiver chocolates, block color analysis based on the iPhone and the distribution mechanism, sorting different candies in sections. In each section are poured pills of the same color.

Performs color analysis application for iPhone 5s. Captured by the camera smartphone color data pills compared with a pre-color profile. The developer has made a profile for M & M’s and ends Version candy Skittles.


All items are machine including color sensors and distance Arduino Uno microcontroller and actuators cost hundreds of pounds. Some components have been printed on the 3D-printer.

Briton plans to modify the machine. The next version will run faster and learn to distinguish brown – for the current system is the British proved problematic.
