Brussels is working on rules to UberPop to still stand’




The Brussels government would work on new legislation that allows UberPop in the Belgian capital. According to The Wall Street Journal worries the new laws make Uber with his app and current taxi companies can co persist, the newspaper reported Monday.

Uber Earlier this year banned a judge Uber still in Brussels. Who felt that taxi companies with the so-called UberPop app were in violation because the drivers do not permit. The verdict was criticized, among others by former European Commissioner Neelie Kroes.

In UberPop taxi rides to private car owners drive their own car. The Uber app users can then order those rides. Drivers must be at least 21 years, have been trained, have submitted a certificate of good conduct and in possession of a certified and insured vehicle. Also holds Uber interviews assured with the drivers and passengers.

The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that the Brussels government is currently working on guidelines to Uber with UberPop to still be in the region. Before that, the company must meet certain conditions. One is paying taxes, said a spokesman for the Department of Mobility and Public Works against American business newspaper.

Reportedly the guidelines in January or February of next year will be presented. A few months after they go, if all goes well, in effect. Therefore, the rules have to first endure discussions with the taxi industry, transport and the parliament. Uber responded through a spokesman anyway satisfied on the development.

Brussels is not the only place with Uber UberPop clashed lies with the taxi industry. In Amsterdam drivers got fines because they illegal taxi rides offered through the app. Uber got to court fines are issued to allow rollback. The case continues.
