Canon has announced a 250-megapixel sensor for DSLR-camera (2 photos)




Canon has announced the creation of CMOS-sensor format APS-H (29.2 x 20.2 mm) with a resolution of 250 megapixels (19580h12600), thus putting a record on the resolution among the matrices smaller than full-frame 35mm. This sensor is able to fit in the average commercial DSLR-camera. According to the manufacturer, despite the huge resolution, the sensor boasts low noise and the captured image will be possible to distinguish the inscription on the plane, which is located at a distance of 18 km. Reading speed signal reaches 1.25 billion pixels per second, which allows you to take 5 frames per second. Video that will be removed with the help of a new 250-megapixel CMOS-matrix about 125 more than FullHD (1980h1080) and 30 more than 4K (3840h2160). This will significantly increase in the processing of the image and get the high quality pictures. The first new product is designed for use in specialized devices for monitoring and prevention of crimes, tools for ultraprecise measurements, and other industrial equipment.
