Canon shows portable VR viewer with ‘2k resolution per eye’
Canon at an event in New York shows a device for displaying virtual reality video. Unlike most headsets, users should not wear on their head but themselves hold. The resolution would ‘2k per eye’ amounts.

Uploadvr reports Canon showed a demonstration video of five minutes, shot with an array of Canon cameras. On one of the images that have been published is a schematic view of the VR-camera system to see with six lenses. The video would be streamed with a resolution of 5600×2800 pixels, and there would be no positional head tracking are used. Furthermore, says the site users did not mention the screen resolution of 2560×1440 pixels per eye, but it is possible that the screen had that resolution.
