Capcom Vancouver is working on two unannounced games

Publisher Capcom has announced that own studio in Vancouver is hard to find new staff, because the studio is working on two unannounced games. Where the studio so far made use of its own engine, it now switches to Unreal Engine 4.

Capcom Game Studio Vancouver is looking for new employees, announces the publisher. From the list of available positions that the studio is working on two unreleased projects. Job advertisements giving few details about the new games released, except that it was going to open world action games. The studio is best known for Dead Rising sequel Dead Rising 2 and 3. The latter game appeared late in 2013 and that since then the studio is working on, is not known. Completely new, the announcement is not. It was already known that the studio is working on a game that falls outside the Dead Rising series. That turned out early in 2013, as well as from a job advertisement.

What is new is that the studio in Vancouver switching to Unreal Engine 4, where it was used until now by its own engine. The publisher hopes also to find developers who have experience with the engine from Epic Games. Capcom Japan is already being used by UE4 for Street Fighter 5. The switch to the Unreal Engine makes it easier to bring out the new games on different platforms. Dead Rising 3 appeared initially only for the Xbox One, already published a year later still a version for Windows.
