German hackers association CCC wants unencrypted communication is prohibited. The call of the organization, known as a privacy advocate, comes at a time that governments are calling for more accurate surveillance.

Ccc According to the CCC argue politicians calling for less encryption in fact reversing the technological evolution “to the level of Windows 3.1. Include British Prime Minister David Cameron advocated that intelligence should always be able to access communications, though he weakened later. Also said Gilles de Kerchove, counterterrorism coordinator at the European Union that Internet companies should release their encryption keys to governments.

The CCC argues for the opposite: the phasing out of unencrypted communications. “Every bit and every byte that is transported by telecommunication providers or processed by the tax authorities and banks should be encrypted,” the CCC. “Whoever saves customer data unencrypted and thus jeopardizing safety at risk, should receive severe punishment,” the CCC.

The organization also recommends that the government no longer puts his money in spying on the population, but the technical training of the same population. Also, the “millions” of people who are working on the “militarization of the Internet ‘have to be concerned with the building of safe and open systems, according to the CCC.

Incidentally, should save companies in Netherlands dates already legally secure, though the law is not exactly how strong the encryption should be precise. Soon there comes an obligation to report data breaches to, provided that the parliament approves. A ban on unencrypted communication, as suggested by CCC, is less likely.
