CES | Sony introduced the smartphone Xperia Z1 compact


At last year’s CES in Las Vegas, Sony has introduced Xperia Z, to show that the 5-inch Xperia Z1 at IFA in Berlin, held the title of flagship smartphone. At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show has brought Sony Xperia Z1 compact – a miniature version of the Z1. In Japan this model debuted as Xperia Z1F .

For technical Xperia Z1 compact model is almost identical to Z1: the same 4-core Snapdragon processor 800 with 2.2 GHz, Display Technologies Triluminos display and X-Reality, 20,7-megapixel camera, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB built-in memory, microSD-slot, NFC-module and protected enclosure (IP55 and IP58). The main difference lies in its novelty compact size, achieved through the use of a 4.3-inch display. More in this model is reduced to a 1080p screen resolution to 720p when the number of pixels per inch 341ppi. According to Engadget, here is also used IPS-panel.

Another difference is the new smartphone in the battery. Given the low power consumption of the screen, Z1 compact comes with a battery capacity of 2300 mAh instead of 3000 mAh for a larger version. In general, this should not have any impact on battery life.

By default Z1 compact running the operating system Android 4.3. Upgrading to version 4.4 KitKat expected shortly after the start of sales.
