Cherry has introduced the DW 9000 Slim, a wireless set of keyboard and mouse that works on rechargeable batteries. The combination can be connected via bluetooth 4.0 as well as with the supplied nano-usb receiver.

The black keyboard of the set must stand out with its flat design. The German manufacturer provided the keyboard for reinforcing a metal plate and used the Cherry SX scissors switches for the keys. The caps lock, scroll lock and num lock buttons have a status LED. Cherry provides four rubber feet to adjust the working angle of the keyboard.

The mouse houses six buttons and an optical scroll wheel. Using one of the buttons, the user can quickly switch between three sensor resolutions, ranging from 600 to 1600 dpi. Just like the keyboard, the mouse can be charged via the included micro USB cable, even when the peripherals are in use.

Apart from via Bluetooth, a connection can also be made via a small USB receiver. It uses the 2.4 GHz band and the signal is encrypted with AES-128. Switching between the two connections is done with a button on the keyboard and the mouse. In this way it is also possible to connect the DW 9000 Slim to two computers simultaneously.

The Cherry DW 9000 Slim arrives on the market in February and receives a suggested retail price of 99 euros.
