Chinese Authorities Tighten Censorship By Blocking Watts

Chinese authorities have blocked the application of IM and TSAP in the country, as China’s latest step to tighten censorship during the preparations for the main Communist Party convention next month. Reports from China have reported widespread unrest during the last days of service owned by the social networking platform Facebook , Which was also blocked within the country earlier in the summer.

Experts said the problems began on Sunday, although text messages and voice and video calls came back on Tuesday, but voice messages and images did not work. The WTSP application provides cryptographic technology that is unlikely to satisfy the Chinese authorities, Which closely monitors and works to restrict cyberspace through the Great Firewall.

Many Chinese activists prefer Wattsab to local messaging applications because of its end-to-end encryption technology. China has tightened its government censorship measures on the Internet this year, introducing new rules requiring technology companies to store user data inside the country, What is allowed.

Chinese cyberspace organizers said on Monday they had imposed the maximum fines on major Chinese technology companies such as Baidu and Tencent to allow the spread of pornographic, violent and other banned material on social networking platforms, but did not disclose the value of the fines. China has banned many Web sites for years like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest along with a large number of social networking platforms.

Watsab’s problems have arisen ahead of the Communist Party’s General Conference scheduled for Oct. 18, with President Xi Jinping expected to give a second five-year term as party secretary, and China is tightening surveillance over major events in the country.

WeChat, owned by China’s widely-used Tencent, continues to operate normally, when many WTSP users complained of problems, and the WeChat management informed its users earlier this month of a new privacy policy that it would retain Or disclose user data in order to comply with applicable laws and regulations, thereby confirming the long-term general assumptions about the Company’s practices.
