Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi sells 15 million smartphones in three months

The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has sold 15 million smartphones last three months. Although figures and estimates from other manufacturers still have to follow, over this period, it seems that Xiaomi global number three could be behind Apple and Samsung.

That Xiaomi recent months, 15.1 million smartphones deposed , is partly due to the production of top model Mi3 got underway and Hongmi line of cheaper models went through, where the Xiaomi Hongmi Note offered a new model. Also expanded from the manufacturer to Singapore.

It seems that Xiaomi would prove to be the third smartphone maker in the world after Apple and Samsung: Huawei was in the first months of 2014, the global number three with 13.7 million units delivered. Huawei’s Ascend P7 , however, came towards the end of the quarter, and probably has not much influence on the results. Apple sold in the first three months of 43.7 million smartphones, Samsung does not release figures, but analysts estimate that the South Koreans, 85 million copies were worn. In all cases the aircraft delivered, not actually sold to consumers phones.

Xiaomi sells handsets are officially only in a few countries such as China and Singapore, and this is done in batches, anyone can order online a copy until the batch is sold out, something that happens often within minutes. This is mainly due middlemen who buy up copies and those hoping to resell at a profit.
