Chrome cast Kinect: Chrome cast control with movements

It was clear from the outset that Google Chrome Cast is the ideal toy for tinkerers. Low and apparently easily accessible system provide perfect conditions for all kinds of useful (or even wneiger useful) hacks, of which we are certain to see a lot.

Leon Nicholls has now connected a Kinect sensor on a laptop with the Chrome cast and can control media playback through gestures. Abspilen video, pause and move on the screen, the possibilities offered by the hack. The sensor inputs processed the laptop and sends the signals to an app on the Chrome cast, which then carries them into appropriate actions. For the average Joe Vebraucher certainly less interesting for the technology fan but a pretty cool thing.
