Cisco unveiled on Wednesday a network-based networking solution that is one of the most significant and influential in the enterprise network world.

“This is a product of Cisco’s emerging efforts to create an intuitive and intelligent system that anticipates actions and stops security threats while continuing to evolve and learn over time,” said the US network specialist. “These solutions help companies to open new fields, take advantage of promising opportunities and meet challenges they have never been able to face before, in an era of increasing communication and technology everywhere.

Cisco said the new network is the result of years of research and development efforts to re-invent networking in the current era. As network engineers manage hundreds of devices today, the number of devices is expected to increase dramatically to one million by 2020.

“Networks are of unprecedented importance in terms of their role in business success, but at the same time they are under even more pressure than ever before,” said Chuck Robbins, Chief Executive Officer, Cisco. By building a network with intelligent intuition, we are providing a smart platform that offers unmatched levels of security both now and in the future, supporting companies moving forward and creating new opportunities for people and institutions everywhere. ”

Cisco said today that companies are managing their networks through traditional IT operations, which are no longer suitable for the present era. “Cisco has taken a new approach to innovating a system that relies on intuition and continues to learn, adapt, automate and protect permanently to optimize network operations and defend them in the face of sophisticated contemporary attacks.”

“Cisco solutions to analyze ETA traffic in the face of a network security challenge previously thought to be unsolvable are using the Cisco TALOS e-survey to detect impacts,” said David Gochler, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Networks and Security, Cisco. Known for attacks even in encrypted traffic, helping to ensure security and privacy at the same time. ”

While the vast majority of the world’s Internet traffic is passing through Cisco networks, the company has taken advantage of this valuable data and analysis to provide IT management with clear insights to detect bugs at the same time and anticipate problems before they occur, . By automating network parties and integrating automated learning and analysis capabilities at the foundation level, Cisco enables users to manage what can not be managed and allows the IT team to focus on strategic business needs.

There are 75 leading global companies and institutions already conducting early field trials for these networking solutions, including DB Systèle, Jade University of Applied Sciences, NASA, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Sensi, U Ziv Leven and Wipro.

A network conscious of context and supported by purposes

With Cisco’s new approach, Cisco said it is “changing the basic networking plan by using innovative devices and the most advanced software.” With this shift to focus on software rather than hardware, customers will be able to make qualitative leaps in flexibility, productivity and performance. The intuition-based network is a highly secure, purpose-supported, and context-sensitive platform.

Maasid: IT-based networking allows the IT team to move from tedious traditional processes to automation that allows millions of devices to be managed in minutes – a vital development that is critical to helping organizations deal with the increasingly complex technical landscape.
Context: Interpretation of data in context is what enables the network to provide new insights. Importance is not limited to data alone, but includes the context surrounding it, to focus on answers to questions about who, what, when, where and how. Intelligent intuit network interprets it all, which means better levels of security, a more personalized experience and faster operations.
Intuition: The new network offers the ability to learn on a large scale. Cisco uses its huge data flowing through its networks around the world with a built-in feature for automated learning, releasing these data in a way that provides predictable and practical insights.
Technologies that enhance the intuitive intranet

Cisco’s digital networking architecture offers customers a wide range of innovative hardware and software to revive a new era of networking. Cisco today offers a range of digital networking infrastructure technologies and services designed to work together as a single system that enables customers to progress with digital speed:

Digital Network Architecture Center : A centralized control panel for intuitive management, which provides IT teams with a goal-focused approach that covers design, configuration, policy and security. With integrated visibility capabilities and a clear context throughout the network, ITC allows the IT team to centrally manage all network functions.
SD-Access: Software-defined access uses the automated implementation of policies and the division of the network into segments through a unified network fabric to significantly simplify the access of users, devices and objects to the network. By automating day-to-day tasks such as configuration, configuration and problem solving, software-defined access reduces the time required for network adaptation and improves problem-solving capabilities so that the time drops from weeks to months to hours, while the security breach decreases. Initial analysis of customers who performed field trials and internal tests showed a 67% reduction in network configuration time, improved 80% problem-solving capacity, 48% reduction in security breach, and 61% savings in operational costs.
Network Data Platform and Assurance : This powerful new platform analyzes the classification and binding of vast amounts of data in the network, and uses automated learning to transform it into analytical, predictive, business intelligence and applicable insights through the Digital Network Architecture Guarantee Service.
Analysis of Encrypted Data Traffic : Nearly half of all cyber attacks today disappear in encrypted data traffic, an ever-increasing number. By using Cisco TeleSec’s automated survey and learning capabilities to analyze patterns of metadata traffic, the network can identify fingerprints for known attacks even in encrypted data traffic, without decrypting them and affecting the privacy of the data. Cisco can only enable the IT team to detect threats in encrypted data traffic up to 99% with false positives of less than 0.01%. As a result, the new network offers a high level of security while maintaining privacy.
Catalyst 9000 Series : Cisco is introducing a new family of fully- integrated switches to suit the contemporary realities of the digital era, focusing on mobility, cloud infrastructure, Internet access and security. The Cisco Catalyst 9000 series achieves unparalleled levels of security, programming and performance through innovation in the ASIC and IOS XE.
Software Subscription : Cisco makes software subscription an essential component of its switch set. When purchasing the new Catalyst 9000 family of switches, customers will be able to access the software capabilities of the digital networking infrastructure in combination – either through Cisco ONE pre-packaged software bundles or via custom-made components. ONE software is available from Cisco across the entire enterprise network, providing companies with access to outstanding innovation, budget forecasting and a more flexible technology consumption.
Digital Network Architecture Services : To help customers adopt intuitive and intelligent networking quickly and confidently, Cisco has created a new range of services that benefit from our vast experience, best practices and innovative tools. Whether customers are looking to transform their entire network or integrate new security and automation capabilities into their existing network, Cisco has a full range of consulting, implementation, optimization and technical support services that support them. Cisco channel partners can also resell those services and build networking practices that integrate software, security, automation, and analysis capabilities for their customers.
Developer Center: Cisco is launching a new DevNet Developer Center that includes resources that help developers and IT professionals innovate and integrate network-based applications into their systems and IT workflow. This includes new learning paths, isolated testing environments, and developer support resources to use APIs and build skills.
As for the availability of new solutions, the Catalyst 9300 and 9500 are currently available, while the Catalyst 9400 will be available in July, and the SD Acess digital networking center will be available in a limited range in August.

In September 2017, the analysis capabilities of encrypted data traffic will be available, and in November 2017, the data platform, security and SD Access will be available.
