Codename points coming new Ubuntu smartphone

A bug list Canonical is a code name which appeared in line with those of previously published Ubuntu smartphones. From the code name would be to deduce that Meizu is the manufacturer of the device.

That writes OMG Ubuntu. Codenamed Midori appeared in a bug-list of Canonical, regarding the Telegram app. The name refers to Midori Norimaki, a character from Dragon Ball. Earlier Ubuntu smartphones also had names from the manga series, such as Bq Aquaris E4.5, named Kuririn, and the M10 HD, which bore the name Frieza.

Meizu MX4- and Pro 5 handsets had the respective Dragonball code names Arale and Turbo and OMG Ubuntu indicates that Midori like holding names associated with the Dr. Slump universe. Details on a possible arrival of a new Ubuntu smartphone Meizu there are no further.

The latest Ubuntu smartphone Meizu is the Pro 5. This is a model with a 5.7 “-oledscherm with 1920×1080 pixels and an Exynos 7420-octacore-soc.
