Collider Games announces Twin Peaks VR




Collider Games is working with the Showtime studio on a VR game that is based on the Twin Peaks franchise. Showtime is behind the mini series Twin Peaks: The Return. Twin Peaks VR will be released for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. An appearance date is not yet known.

Collider reports that players will follow in the footsteps of agent Dale Cooper. The player must escape the Red Room in order to return to his own reality. Whether the player will end up in the village Twin Peaks is not yet clear. It is not yet known when the game will be released, but the game will be presented on October 13 and 14 at The Festival of Disruption in Los Angeles. The festival is an initiative of David Lynch, the inventor of Twin Peaks.

The original series was broadcast for the first time between 1990 and 1991 on the American channel ABC. In it Dale Cooper is the center of attention, an agent who has to investigate the mysterious death of a teenage girl in the sleepy village of Twin Peaks. Gradually the series gets a supernatural undertone. In 1992 a movie was released, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. This takes place for the events of the series.

The first episode of Twin Peaks: The Return was broadcast on 21 May 2017. The story continues where the original series has been stopped. The mini-series has a total of eighteen episodes and is offered in the Netherlands via the streaming service of Ziggo.
