Comet ISON broken up into small pieces
The long-awaited Comet ISON , which on Friday had to fly at a minimum distance from the Sun, crumbled to pieces, and not reaching the goal. The images captured by the Solar Dynamics Observatory on Thursday, you can see how the comet approaches the sun and goes for it, but on the other hand does not work.
Hopes for the comet was assigned lot. At closest approach to the luminary comet tail wag promised, leaving two weeks heavenly trail. Unfortunately, this was not to be. On the one hand sad that such a comet broke apart, but on the other hand, the assurance of scientists, it is wonderful. In the decay ISON freed substance from which it was, and now scientists can learn more about that matter from which the solar system formed.
Comet C/2012 S1 (ISON) was opened in September 2012 the Russian astronomer Artem Novichonok and his counterpart from Belarus Vitaly Nevsky. Gradually she boomed, as scientists believed that this comet may be the brightest in this decade. However, its brightness grew not as fast as expected.
The assumption that the comet will not be able to move closer to the Sun, and put forward earlier, but still remained till the last hope that scientists will present an amazingly beautiful sight. But expectations are not met, and now scientists have studied only the wreckage once “live” comet.
