Company behind Homey controller retrieves million euros




The company behind the voice-controlled assistant Homey, athom, has raised one million euros from investors. That made the company announced Friday. The money will athom the Homey develop and bring to market.

The Homey gained fame through a successful Kickstarter campaign, more than a year ago was founded by Emile Nijssen ( WeeJeWel ) and partner Stefan Witkamp. In the campaign they profiled the assistant as a “smart” module through voice commands can control many devices in the home.
