company Kyocera has created a revolutionary ultra-thin speakers

Most recently, we wrote about a rather interesting acoustic gel on the basis of the ionic conductivity, which is being developed in the dungeons of Harvard University. Japanese technology company Kyocera , which manufactures various products, ranging from smartphones and finishing ceramic kitchen knives, is currently working in the same direction with the Harvard scientists – through a combination of a piezoelectric actuator and a special film of the resin, they have created the dynamics that are much thinner and lighter than conventional solenoid, but are able to produce the same quality sound.

Interestingly, the technology of Smart Sonic Sound (so-called new type of speakers) from Kyocera is already in use, for example, curved 55-inch OLED-TV company LG. However, the Japanese company hopes that in the future she will be able to reduce the cost of the technology and its ability to provide a mass use in televisions, computers and tablets, and through it to provide more competent save space, allowing you to select these speakers on the front panels of such devices.

Speakers Smart Sonic Sound will be offered in three sizes. Dimensions of the greatest speakers, and weighs just 23 grams, is 70 x 110 x 1,5 mm. They also work in the frequency range of – 200 to 20,000 Hz. Medium version weighs only 7 grams, with dimensions of 35 x 65 x 1,0 mm. Frequency this version varies from 500 to 20 000 Hz. Most small speakers weigh 1 gram. However, their dimensions are 19,6 x 27,5 x 0,7 mm and the operating frequency – from 600 to 20 000 Hz.

According to the Japanese company, new technology called “provides more balanced and direction as compared to conventional speakers, the sound wave as laminated film created by the vibration of sound.” As a result, the quality and the sound level is practically not distorted within the angle of 180 degrees.

LG Electronics has recently started to sell curved 55-inch OLED-TV , which became the first devices that use this technology Smart Sonic Sound. With this TV set is very, very thin (at its thinnest point to 4.3 mm).
