Computer Club: The Night WDR computer

It is now gone so far that it gets delivered at the Mobilegeeks TV program tips? Yes, at least in this particular case, when it comes to the legendary Computer Club – one of, if not THE authority on German television, when it comes to computer technology.

The format has unfortunately adopted about a decade ago from our screens, the cult factor, however, has not done any harm. The WDR has now sat down and out of the archive material, the “cult scenes from the 22 years of the popular WDR Computer Club” culled, but also shows quite a lot of other material which goes back to the fifties. In the Press Release of the WDR states that:

The WDR Television takes you on a fascinating journey through time and presents the rapid development of computers, from the first television reports via electronic data centers in 1959 to smartphones and tablets , in the center of a four-hour special broadcast on the night of 5 on the 6th April 2013.

I can still remember well that the format once went under the name Eff Eff and of course the legendary hard-rock bit – there was a sound signal transmitted via the TV, which we were able to record at home with our tape recorders. We could play on our computer over the tape drive on home computers as the software then transmitted. The only time things are going for the younger ones here who know do not appreciate how easy today 😉

Anyone interested in the history surrounding the computer should either daily or program the hard disk recorder, when once again a pending computer-WDR night so today. The program is presented that will not find the way later in the WDR library again, Ranga Yogeshwar and Ralph Caspers. So tonight – zero to four clock computer clock in the morning WDR night.
