The Consumers’ Association went to court because talks with Samsung to nothing turned out. The union went with the manufacturer to the table after the consumer early December sent a letter to Samsung containing the requirements. Bart Combée, director of the Consumers’ Association, sums up the requirements: “Consumers are not sufficiently informed on the purchase of a Samsung Android device about how long they will receive software updates The Consumers demanding that Samsung this matter clear and unambiguous information to customers. . Samsung also does not provide sufficient information on critical security holes in its Android phones like Stage Fright. ”

Finally, the union demands that Samsung actually also sends updates to Android devices. This is happening now insufficient according to the organization. In one study, half of last year, showed that 82 percent of Samsung phones after two years could not have the latest Android version.
