[Tips & Tricks] Copy addresses from Mail without names and parentheses

Mail

Very often from Mail.app (we deal only with the standard e-mail client) to copy a particular email address. The reasons for this need can be quite different, as they will not talk. As you know, when you copy an address from Mail.app, it is copied to the triangular brackets, and along with the address you will receive also the name of its owner. I propose to get rid of all the excess.

With a simple command in the terminal, you can once and for all get rid of the triangular brackets and the recipient’s name when you copy an email address. If you do this it will be convenient, you just type in the command line terminal:

defaults write com.apple.mail AddressesIncludeNameOnPasteboard-bool false
