The idea for the virtual keyboard and buttons without wires was born many years ago in the walls of the Israeli company Developer VKB Inc. Presented startup Coque Case-keyboard does not have any mechanical or electrical element, is an excellent example of the practical implementation of this idea.
The creators of the laser virtual keyboard interface assumed that their development in practice can be integrated into any mobile device – smartphone, tablet, laptop and even in sterile medical equipment. Currently, however, technology is presented as a cover for the iPhone 6.
The principle of the virtual laser keyboard is simple and straightforward. The design uses two semiconductor diode laser – the “red” to create projection keyboard and invisible infrared photodetector with infrared radiation to determine the buttons, which touched your finger. There is also an optical sensor that determines the movement of the hands in space and allows you to control the cursor on the screen. While the user is typing at ease laser projection keys – like on a conventional keyboard, invisible beam analyzes the coordinates of the position of the fingers and processes the information accordingly.
In addition to the mobility of virtual keyboard built into the case, has other advantages over “classical”: it does not accumulate dirt and dust, its size can be adjusted, it is always with you.
