In summary
The 400Q and his brother-400C have an all-metal enclosure. That includes the front panel, not of plastic but of brushed metal is made. It’s just a pity that Corsair has not taken the trouble to make everything from metal, but carried out the plastic surface. For and close to one hundred euros you get a nice finished housing, with a nicely thought-out layout, but it lacks a bit of expansion. The 400Q is fairly quiet, cool fine and has plenty of opportunities for water cooling. A great candidate for a mature-looking, high-end gaming system.

pluses
Neat finish by ‘compartments’

Tested version: Corsair Carbide Quiet 400Q
In January, during the CES Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Corsair announced its latest Carbide enclosures to: 400Q and 400C. The housings are identical in principle, but the 400C has a window in the side panel, while the 400Q is completely closed to comply with its Quiet label, where Q is behind the model number stands for. The 400Q is not only closed, but with sound materials.

The Carbide Series is Corsairs midrange series enclosures. Positioned above the pecking order are the Obsidian enclosures and below, especially for gamers, the Graphite and Vengeance series are. The Carbide enclosures must primarily offer only the features that are needed without any extras and the associated costs. That sounds a bit like budget and that could defend you, but it’s Corsair budget and so you pay for an ATX casing as the 400Q still about a hundred euros.

For those hundred euros sells Corsair Carbide Your 400Q housing, which has scored an understated design. The housing in its compact size to house a high-end system, which also effectively cool and thereby produce little noise. This Corsair comes quite in the fairway of Fractal Designs Define Series: Time for a comparative test so.
