Crytek introduces VR First program for universities

Game development studio Crytek has announced VR First, a concept for universities, in collaboration with the studio, virtual reality development learning to students. The program will Crytek universities with the necessary resources.

Crytek, Crysis-known of the series, began with a test for the VR First program. Bahcesehir University in Istanbul is the first university affiliated with VR First and is the location for the test. The program Crytek wants to give students access to everything you need for virtual reality – development.

Crytek itself represents the full code of his famous CryEngine available to participating universities. The hardware is offered by other member companies, which are not mentioned by name. Crytek claims with the program will help the development of virtual reality by providing supplies to the new generation of developers. For this, the company is still looking for more partners.

Crytek itself works in collaboration with Oculus to The Climb and Sony to Robinson: The Journey. Furthermore, it has already added to its CryEngine various options to facilitate the development of virtual reality for other studios that use its engine. Crytek is busy working his way to the forefront in the development of virtual reality.
