Customer service Bethesda briefly revealed data users

Due to a bug at Fallout 76 publisher Bethesda Softworks, users who had requested a support ticket could also see the details of others who had done so. This included e-mail addresses, name and address details and telephone numbers.

Several users reported the issue on Reddit . It seems that users could enter Bethesda’s customer service system and see everything that employees can see. It is not clear how many customers the data was to see and how many people from outside the company have taken a look at it.

The bug has since been remedied. Bethesda recognizes the problem on Twitter. The publisher examines the case and states that users who may be affected will be kept informed. Bethesda emphasizes that no passwords or credit card data have been leaked.

Bethesda customer service is receiving a lot of attention right now, because Fallout 76’s Power Armor Edition does not contain exactly the extras that were advertised. The weekend bag that comes with this edition, would originally be of a more expensive and beautiful material than what was finally delivered. Bethesda initially did not want to do anything with this, but now they exchange the bags after long-term criticism from gamers.
