CyanogenMod Nemesis Project Phase 1: Focal as a new powerful camera app
A few days ago, the makers of CyanogenMod announced a new project called Nemesis on. Back then you could see little of the short video and there was some speculation surrounding the project. It is now clear that the team some standard apps from Android will greatly improve and as the first part of the series starts with a new camera app with many features and as usual open source code.
Focal Nemesis CyanogenMod
Nemesis, the goddess of retribution, thus stands as a counter-proposal of CyanogenMod in some respects of Android that are simply not perfect but can be easily implemented or miss certain functionalities.
Quite logically, therefore, that is carried out as the first delivered as standard camera app, because here the usual stock Android does have a need for improvement. This can often be seen alone by how much the individual manufacturer of Samsung or HTC strive to offer much more.
A small group was able to try out the new app called Focal once already and gives us a first insight into the individual features that look quite good at first glance.
First, there’s the camera button to activate the five different choices:
PicSphere (replacement for Google photosphere, which is completely ready as open source)
Switch to the front camera
Otherwise, there are of course everything you can expect from a modern camera app.
Focal Camera app CyanogenMod
When can we test all the app is currently not yet been determined and is like CyanogenMod as usual also still open. However, it will probably be first nightly versions very soon, will be integrated into the Focal. How well the photo quality is actually later but first we’ll have to wait, because some vendor drivers for the camera also an important criterion which should not be underestimated.Viewing:-127
