Data leak at UK payroll services provider Sage exceeded three hundred companies
Sage Software, a UK payroll service provider, faced with a data breach. The company suggested the weekend around two hundred of his British customers of the leak up to date, but the number of businesses affected could rise to three hundred, according to a source.

The company does to payroll services, which means that it not only uses the personal data of employees of clients, but also the payment information. What data there are specific as possible in the street, the company at present is not known.
An anonymous source amongst others with the Financial Times spoke to said that the credentials of an employee were used to gain access to sensitive information, which means that the leak may be the result of internal sabotage. Sage later also confirmed. The company has the London police informed.
Sage software is part of the Sage Group, a multinational company with offices in 24 countries, including the Netherlands. The Sage payroll software is also in use in the Netherlands and Belgium, but the data breach would nevertheless have been limited to the UK companies that use the Sage services.Viewing:-120
