Daybreak Game Company discontinues development EverQuest Next
Develop Studio Daybreak cease development of EverQuest Next, the latest game in the franchise. In the course of development would have shown that the game simply ‘not nice’ to play.
Russ Shanks, the head of development studio Daybreak, make the decision known to the company website. “Cancellation of games are a reality we have to deal with from time to time,” he says. “Although we have achieved incredible things with EverQuest Next, we must admit that we found out that the game just was not fun.” The game was around since 2009 in development at the studio, which then still operated under the name Sony Online Entertainment.
EverQuest Next was scheduled for release on Windows and PlayStation 4. Shanks assures players that the development of Everquest and Everquest 2 MMORPG’s out respectively in 1999 and 2004, continues unabated. In addition, the studio is working on H1Z1: Just Survive and H1Z1: King of the Kill. These two games are the result of the breakdown of multiplayer survival game H1Z1. Furthermore Daybreak responsibilities include PlanetSide 2. Since February 2015 the studio is no longer owned by Sony. The new owner is Columbus Nova, an investment company.Viewing:-192
