Dell does not resell smartphones




Dell does not re-sell smartphones. That says founder Michael Dell in an interview after he has taken his own business. Of the fair Dell would like to make tablets, but sees no benefit in the smartphone market.

Dell Venue Pro Dell made until a few years back smartphones, including the Venue with Android and Venue Pro with Windows Phone 7. There it will remain temporarily in, said Michael Dell in an interview with the American channel CNBC. The name used Dell Venue still for a new tablet with Windows 8.1.

The smartphones that Dell was sold moderately and late 2012 announced the company whatsoever with stopping development of new models. The smartphones are never on the Dutch market officially, though they are offered in small numbers through gray imports. Dell focused on the United States, China and Latin America.

Dell says in the interview that the company is now looking at the long term and is going to focus on the business market, emerging markets, tablets and PCs and “invest in improving the user experience for consumers.” The founder bought by an investor’s shares of Dell and achieved hence the fair.
