Dell provides 18mm thin laptop workstation hardware high resolution




Dell comes with a new laptop in its Precision Series workstations. The laptop has a thickness of 18mm, while the front is even only 8mm. Dell is the 15.6 “workstation with an Intel quad-core and a maximum resolution of 3200×1800 pixels.

The Dell Precision M3800 looks with its matte black surfaces and aluminum edge in looks more like a model than a Precision XPS. The laptop measures at the thickest point and 18mm at its thinnest 8mm, and is 2 kilos, making it the lightest workstation on the market, as a source of Tweakers has heard. The laptop comes with an Intel Core i7-4702MQ and up to 16GB of memory. The graphics card is the Nvidia Quadro K1100M, which can have 2GB of memory and is not yet announced, but possibly a K1000M with slightly higher clock speeds are concerned.

The workstation will 1TB HDD or SSD storage of 512GB. More space for storage with RAID modes is not there and the M3800 no profusion of interfaces, such as the Precision M4700. Nor is a connection for a docking station at the bottom present; docking must be connected via USB 3.0. Well there are four USB 3.0 ports, a SD card reader and offers the laptop over HDMI. The Ethernet connection is via a dongle with a USB 3.0 port.

The M3800 has a 15.6 “screen and Dell provides the model with screen resolutions of 1920×1080 and 3200×1800 pixels, while the presence of a touchscreen is possible. Unlike previous Precisions the laptop has a chiclet keyboard. Well retains the backlight. Dell also claims a better offer than the presence of Waves Maxx Audio Pro. Precision The average audio quality comes with battery capacities of 61Wh or 91Wh.

The Precision M3800 is end of this year and the expected price is between 1699 and 1999 dollars. When the Dell laptop is announcing is not known.
