Details about Panasonic DMC-G7 camera system coming online

On the internet photos and specifications of the Panasonic DMC-G7 system camera appeared. The micro four thirds device would like the Panasonic G6 feature a 16-megapixel sensor, but could shoot in 4K. The housing would be renewed.

Earlier, the G7 had appeared on the site of the Wi-Fi Alliance, which certifies Wi-Fi devices; now the page has been removed. This indicates that the G7, as the G6, weather has wifi functionality. Now more detailed specifications and pictures leaked on Digi Came Info, a Japanese site that more often early information about cameras manages to get. Like the G6 would have the G7 a “digital live mos’ sensor of 16 megapixels. Panasonic has renewed the Venus Engine image processor, allowing the camera now 4K images can shoot 30fps or 24fps. The manufacturer has also added a 360-degree panorama function. The G6 was already shooting panoramas, but while the maximum angle remained limited. The maximum shutter speed of the camera is 1/16000.

Compared to the G6 has been given to what the body sharper angles; the recess for the fingers on the handle appears to be somewhat stronger presence. The buttons are adapted to the housing. The images show that the G7 has an extra scroll wheel on the left, which probably drive mode can be set. On the right is the ‘Intelligent Auto’ button replaced with a function button. Digi Came reports that the G7 as the more expensive GH4 DFD -autofocus would benefit from some form of contrast detection-off that should suffer less focus hunting, or the difficulty in finding focus in some conditions. It is not clear how many AF points offers the G7. The resolution of the built-in OLED EFF is compared to the G6 increased to 2.36 million subpixels, the same number as in the GH4. The electronic viewfinder of the G6 had to make do with 1.44 million dots. The tiltable LCD screen still has 1.04 million subpixels.

According Digi Came Panasonic announces the G7 to soon, along with the GX8 and FZ300, which were also seen at the site of the Wi-Fi Alliance. For what price the model at the store appears, is not yet known.
