Developer makes database tool for import demand from torrent sites
Developer Stephen Smith has built an open source tool that allows the databases of a number of torrent sites can be imported locally. The user can then search and browse the offerings. The tool must improve the availability of torrents.
To Download The software BitCannon called, can currently import from databases KickassTorrents and Demonoid. These are stored by BitCannon in a MongoDB file. The user can browse the site after the import structure in the browser and search. Using magnet links, files can be downloaded via a compatible bittorrent client.
According developer Stephen Smith BitCannon is useful when, for example, is a torrent from the air. He hopes that eventually the tool will also allow users to self hosting torrent sites by offering a mirror of known sites online.
The code of BitCannon is opensource and available for Windows, OS X and Linux.
