Developer of The Witcher 3-delay “market fears badly finished games’.




One of the developers of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has said that the game market is afraid of bad completed projects. He made this statement in response to the news that the release of The Witcher 3 is postponed for the second time.

The decision to delay, according to CD Projekt good cases with fans of The Witcher, writes Eurogamer. One of the developers said that the market is afraid of bad finished games on the latest platforms. Assassin’s Creed Unity is mentioned as an example. The game was recently published for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, but Ubisoft is still trying to overcome some major bugs.

CD Projekt decided a few days ago to postpone the release of The Witcher 3 for the second time. There were still several details must be corrected and the studio wants to reduce the amount of bugs to such a minimal number. In the statement, the developer admitted the first two release dates have set too fast. Developer CD Projekt says the game in terms of size is bigger than anticipated. The Witcher 3 would be more extensive than predecessors together.

The Witcher 3 was originally scheduled for the autumn of 2014, but that changed later in February 2015. However, CD Projekt has shown to need another twelve additional weeks and the latest release date is therefore May 19, 2015.
