Far Cry 4 director: ‘Development of the Pioneer aerospace game has been scrapped
The development of Pioneer, a space game where the teaser was shown for the first time in Watch Dogs 2, has reportedly stopped. Alex Hutchinson, who was the director of Far Cry 4, claims that Pioneer is no longer. Ubisoft has to give a substantive reaction to the claim itself.

Eurogamer noticed a Tweet by Hutchinson , in which the teaser from Pioneer can be seen with the text “RIP Pioneer”. When asked by a user whether that meant Pioneer is really off the track, Hutchinson gave no concrete answer. The Far Cry 4 director worked at Ubisoft until February 2017. It is not known how exactly he got the information and whether it is correct. Ubisoft has not yet responded to the comment.

The teaser for Pioneer appears in Watch Dogs 2 as part of a mission. In it, the player has to enter a counterfeit version of Ubisoft’s studio in San Francisco, steal the teaser and sell it to a gamenieuwswebsite. A source at Ubisoft confirmed to Kotaku that the teaser was real and that the developer was working on Pioneer. However, it was reported that the development was difficult.
