A handy programmer has succeeded in using some of the accessories’ oershooter Doom to get the talks at the Edison, a compact computer module based on the Intel Atom CPU.

Although the Edison is slightly larger than a postage stamp, the processor has two Atom-cores which each rotate at 500MHz. Along with 1GB of RAM, the hardware is more than enough to get Doom talking – the famous shooter even to a printer running – but the link to a separate 2.8 “TFT screen, wireless PS4 controller and a separate speaker show that Edison has the potential to grow into a very nice and versatile craft platform.
