Dutch Android developer gets root method for Android N online

The Dutch Android Developer Chain Fire has a method put online to get root access on Nexus devices running the preview of Android N. It is the first method for root access to the new version of Google’s mobile operating system.

Users can gain root access to flash the zip file that is suitable for their device, writes Chain Fire on a post on XDA-Developers. There are several changes from previous versions of SuperSu, because Google has made changes in the SELinux section of the new version of its mobile operating system.

SuperSU is the first method to gain root access on Nexus devices running Android N. With root access, it is possible to install programs that can more than Google normally permitted on Android devices. Thanks root access is for example possible to install apps that can create backups of the entire system or to retrieve deleted files.

Google put last week’s preview version of Android N Recent Nexus online. The biggest changes include support for multitasking through two windows, one above the other, a version of battery saving technology Doze working in more situations and a new way of displaying notifications and toggles. Tweakers published last week a preview of Android N.
