Dutch casemod star at last lap Intel NUC design competition

The Dutch casemod star, and Tweak Star, Femke Toele, has reached the top five in the bit-tech competition for the best design of an Intel NUC housing. She made a bowl-shaped aluminum casing with blue by relative cover.

Femke Toele , or FAT, the top 5 has the NUC Case Design Competition 2014 Bit-tech achieved with the Flux. She made the aluminum bowl-shaped housing by hand on a lathe and the aluminum portion of the cover provided them with a handsaw shape.

The fitting elements of the Flux are laser cut and made with a 3D printer. Internally, there was still room for compact all-in-one water cooling and the copper cooling block which had to be filed down. For the cover was used blue Plexiglas; the gilded NUC logo Toele calls “the icing on the cake.” See her here build log and also on Gathering of Tweakers allows them to Flux.

Through a ballot, the winner will be determined. Mods opponents include details on an origami-inspired black housing, a striking design on a standard and a retro hi-like model.

Toele, in everyday life gold- and silversmith, began in 2013 with case modding and kicked it then to the final of the casemodding competition from ECS.
