Dutch company goes mini PC with 6 “touch screen production




The Dutch company has Ockel within a day scored the goal of his IndieGoGo campaign for a mini-computer with built-in screen. The little computer must be available in May 2017.

On the computer running Windows 10 and the system is equipped with an Intel Atom Z8750-x7-soc, 4GB RAM and 64GB flash memory. At the top of the case is a 6 “touch screen fitted with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The computer is equipped with a 3000mAh battery and supports 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2.

The device has several connectivity options. At the back there are, in addition to the power supply, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C port, HDMI, display port, an internet connection and a 3.5mm audio jack. The system is also equipped with motion sensors, a front camera, a microphone and speakers. Storage can be expanded with a micro SD card.

The device can be used as a tablet and as a mini-computer. If a screen is connected, the touch screen can serve as an input device. Ockel indicates that this function in collaboration with Microsoft has been developed.

Ockel for the development of a computer IndieGoGo campaign started . The goal of 100,000 euros was achieved within a day and at time of writing there are 247 backers. According to the timeline that has been placed in the campaign, the computer is delivered in May 2017. The computer must ultimately going to cost $ 699, which is converted and VAT will be about 750 euros. Early Indiegogo- backers of the campaign, the computer is still limited available for $ 499. The Dutch company has previously conducted a successful Indiegogo campaign for Sirius B. This was a Windows computer the size of a smartphone. The campaign raised nearly half a million dollars inside. Sirius B is now available in shops.
