A Dutchman has managed to get a working browser in the tvOS software that runs on the fourth generation Apple TV. There is a manual released so that users of the device can also access the browser.

The browser functions at the new Apple TV was demonstrated in a YouTube video, which is online put by a Dutch developer with the username jvanakker. The movie shows how the browser is turned on and the Siri remote control when scrolling through websites. The mouse with the press of a button is also available, and with the start / stop button URLs can be inserted.

Online Jvanakker the necessary source code on Github pages are put, so that others can also install the browser on their Apple TV. A tutorial is included to get the software working. For now, the browser is quite sober in terms of functionality. It is not likely that the software will get approval from Apple, so interested people probably functionality should remain sideload.
