Dutch suing Facebook to not release IP address perpetrator revenge porn

A woman from Werkendam and crime reporter Peter R. de Vries have sued Facebook because the social network, the IP address of the perpetrator from placing revenge porn refuses to release. The case is about ten days.

Peter R. de Vries has put a 21-year-old woman from Brabant Werkendam to who the data would like to find out who a movie of her on the social network, as can be seen in the broadcast RTL News on Sunday evening.

The item does not show whether the police Facebook also asked for personal information or that it is a private request. De Vries hearing the case in a program called Internet Bullies Tackled, which broadcasts RTL Monday.

Someone posted a video on Facebook using an account that much resembled the woman’s account of the video, which shows how the then 18-year-old her ex-boyfriend orally satisfies. The movie has not long been on Facebook, because within an hour had the social network, the video and the account deleted.

According to local newspaper BN De Stem see the lawyer who is short the proceedings initiated as a test case, which the court will have to decide whether Facebook should cede request personal perpetrators of revenge porn and other online crime. The case is June 11, the ruling will follow soon thereafter.
