Find a Question:
E3 games from Nintendo – Super Mario Maker, Star Fox Zero and more
The way Nintendo E3 tackles leads to the Tweakers editors sometimes to headaches. The Japanese company has been some years does not present a physical press conference, but plant prior to the first day of the fair is now a recorded stream called “Nintendo Direct”. That in itself makes for less buzz than generate other publishers with their press conferences. It is also a difficult moment because the editors in Los Angeles then getting ready for the first day and the stream often but with half an eye can follow. It also came out that there is not too much direct shocking was told or shown during Nintendo.
Then, at the fair, Paul had about an hour to all the state of Nintendo to take on, which of course is far from sufficient. And the attention to Nintendo remained in our E3 coverage limits. Paul discussed Star Fox and Metroid Zero: Blast Ball briefly in the Round-up which we E3 coverage ENDED, but more than that there was so far to supervise Tweakers not yet seen on Nintendo at E3.
Fortunately Nintendo Benelux there for years and years for a solution. A few weeks after E3 is the lineup that was on display at the show and play, just present in the Netherlands. This year was no exception. And so went editor Jurian Ubachs accompanied by cameraman Mark van der Kruit, to Nieuwegein for a second chance to make over Nintendo’s E3 lineup. Playable included Super Mario Maker, Star Fox Zero and The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes. Jurian tried those games and some other titles, and I liked him better than he had initially thought.
Editorial note: also the editor of Tweakers has learned Monday morning of the death Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. We express our condolences to his family and Nintendo as a whole. More about the death of Iwata can be found in the news .Viewing:-236
