EA paid $ 1 million streamer for Apex Legends stream

on release day
EA would have paid Twitch streamer Ninja a million dollars to stream Apex Legends in the first hours after the release and report on Twitter. Shroud, another well-known streamer, would also have been paid for this. Streaming was only for a few hours.

Publisher Electronic Arts does not deny that it paid Ninja and Shroud for streaming and Twittering on the day of the release, but does not go into detail about how much money was involved. Ninja also does not comment further. That a million dollars would have been paid to Ninja is a statement from an anonymous source of Reuters . The amount would be more than double what Ninja normally earns in a month.

Ninja is best known for Fortnite and has more than thirteen million followers on Twitch. Shroud is a former Counter-Strike player who streams a lot about PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Call of Duty; he has around six million followers.

Apex Legends is still growing strongly. The free-to-play game managed to attract ten million players in the first three days after the release. On March 4, developer Respawn Entertainment reported that the game has already attracted 50 million players .

Tweakers has written a review of Apex Legends. The release of the battle pass is expected to follow one of these days. This is a type of paid dlc where players can unlock certain content. It will also contain a new character that players can choose from.
