Egyptian administrative court ruled to halt decision to withhold “YouTube” locally

Administrative Court decided Saturday to accept Egyptian judicial writ submitted by the Ministry of Communications, represented in the National Telecom Regulatory Authority, to stop the implementation of the ruling blocked the website “YouTube” for a period of 30 days.

The Court of the State Council Egyptian decided on the ninth of February withhold “YouTube” for 30 days on a lawsuit against him for not delete film abuser of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, from Juadamh, but the Ministry of Communications and NTA Egyptian forward A_i_kala to stop execution of the judgment.

The Ministry of Communications and a National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in an earlier statement the difficulty of implementing this provision without withholding services “Google”, which would negatively affect many Egyptian companies based on those services.

The court said in its ruling that she saw a serious national body in seeking to block the site without problems but there impossibility of art in it, which means the difficulty of implementing this provision, and the “YouTube” is a site registered outside Egypt and of the United States of America, which owns right alone in the ability to lock it.

The court added in its day to close the site was a cause in the economic and social damage, so the current recommendation is to take action to withhold movie link abuser Messenger only.

The “Google” has refused to comment on the issue since the court ruling blocked “YouTube” and merely saying in a brief statement “they’re the topic” so that the issuance of the decision to stop the implementation of the block today.
